Štefan Belohradský — Sculptor Between Drawing and Painting
The catalogue titled ŠTEFAN BELOHRADSKÝ: THE SCULPTOR BETWEEN PAINTING AND DRAWING was published for the exhibition of the same name which was presented in the Representative Halls of the Nitra Gallery and mapped the drawing and painting efforts of the artist who was an important representative of neo-constructivist tendencies in Slovakia and is best known as a sculptor-experimenter who would make use of unconventional materials and technologies (white metal, clear and coloured glass, industrial glass, formed concrete).
The bilingual (Slovak-English) catalogue features an introductory study divided into three chapters (Instead of Introduction – Contexts, Sculptor – Engineer, Prerequisites to Drawing), a selection of reproduced drawings, prints and paintings as well as the artist’s biography.
