A couple of women and a man wearing folk costumes stand in a field behind their village under majestic Slovak mountains, overlooking the launch of a spaceship (put together from various rocket modules) with a yellow Lamborghini calmly parked next to it. This bizarre image is captured in a pyrography called The Evacuation of Slovak Elites and as the title suggests, the spaceship must surely hold the nation’s brightest. But what is the reason for this evacuation? And who are the members of this elite? Based on the sports car, the “chosen” seem to be the rich, while the average folk has no other choice but to stay home and keep facing their miseries. Or is it not the case at all?
