About the Band
d# pipl araund is a Slovak band whose sound oscillates between live electronic music, jazz-rock and IDM. The band was founded in spring 2019, when the saxophonist Juraj Glonek and drummer Jakub Valiček started working on an idea that had been a long time coming. They were joined by the guitarist Vlado Kubalák and bass guitarist Ľuboš Kopták and the project came to life.

Since its inception, the band has already managed to play several concerts, which also include a performance at the Bratislava Jazz Days 2019 festival or at the In Between Books Session project. In the first years of their existence, d# pipl araund were included in the long list of the Radio FM’s RadioHead_Awards 2019 in the Discovery of the Year category.

In 2020, the band started a collaboration with the music label Well Played Records which resulted into their debut single “flo8”, which was joined by two others in late 2021, “Fill Callins” and “Oplodňovák” [“Impregnator”], which were a precursor to their debut album “031”. It was officially launched by Well Played Records in December 2021, like a cherry on top of the band’s first two years of existence.

All programming is subject to change.
