Tereza Darášová has been studying painting for only three years, but her work has somehow already managed to find her own path. She primarily works with textile – corner sheets, design samples, embroideries – she enhances them, rebuilds them, makes them her own while referencing traditional Slovak culture and crafts. She paints and embroiders at the same time, both vigorously and with a child’s naivety. Let’s see where her work moves after months spent in Prague…

Tereza Darášová (*2002) studied woodcut restoration and preservation at Josef Vydra School of Applied Arts in Bratislava. Since 2021, she has been studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. She is currently on a study trip at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.
