In the beginning was the Net. The Net was with the Net and the Net was the Net. The same was in the beginning with the Net. All things were made by the Net and without the Net was not any thing made that was made. And in the Net was the Net and the Net was the Net of Nets. And the Net in the Net shines and the darkness comprehended it not. The Net sent the Net; it was called the Net. The same came for the Net, to bear witness of the Net, that all men through the Net might believe.
The polysemantic meaning of the word net encompasses a large number of things and phenomena in both social and personal life of man. We usually perceive it as a formation consisting of threads whose knots form a grid-like structure. Another meaning of the word net describes a multi-level system of devices, wiring and lines whose main purpose is to distribute media and information. The net can be also perceived as a structure or a solid mathematical model.
The artworks created by the students of the Department of Creative Arts and Art Education at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra reflect upon the theme of the Net and were made with the Bunker’s layout and structure in mind.
