With financial support of the Slovak Arts Council public funds. The Council is the leading partner of the project.

The exhibition incorporates their current works created in the recent years, consisting mostly of personal and authentic statements of the young artists. The exhibition title, Paniczi, combines the word “panic” [Slovak for virgin] with Nicz, the head of the studio. It explains it is the first gallery exhibition of many of the artists whose works were created under the leadership of Miroslav Nicz. Entering the art scene during academic years is an inherent experience for the young artists in their first steps towards addressing the general public. Students of the IM Studio work with various media, but the most common way to process their themes is digitally.

The exhibition features projects of various formats including video installations, objects, video performances and their recordings. The students often work with space and incorporate it into their works in different ways. Their final outputs try to communicate using the language of contemporary art which is also reflected in the study programmes that are co-created by the assistant lecturers and doctoral students of the department.
