Open call 2020
!!CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT!!
Nitra Gallery invites curators, artists, or art academies to send project proposals to present their work in two different exhibition spaces in 2020.
The aim of this open call is to provide a possibility for presentation of contemporary art from Slovakia and abroad at the Nitra Gallery. Welcome are all media and various inter-disciplinary art forms. We want to provide space for starting curators and support their innovative ideas. Preferred are curatorial projects over solo shows. We also invite departments or studios from art academies to present their students’ works. A jury composed of the gallery staff and guest art professionals will choose the winning projects. Dates available for the projects will be agreed upon with the successful applicants. The call has no thematic restrictions and is meant for these two exhibition spaces:
Untypical, „vertical“ exhibition space located in a three storey staircase and an adjacent room.
Underground space formerly used as a fallout shelter. Suitable mainly for untraditional artistic forms, shorter experimental projects and site-specific installations. Welcome are also performances or audio-visual events.

— The project should have a curator with proper education in the
