The exhibition presents new acquisitions added to the collection of Nitra gallery that were acquired in the year 2007 with the help of Ministry of Culture and Nitra Self-government region. The aim was the extention of current collection with two sets of works of art by contemporary Slovak artists.

The first set of acquitions is about maping the female artists of different generations with the emphasis on works that reflect feminism and its attendant gender problems. This type of work has not been presented in the collection before. The light objects by Jana Želibská (1941) from 80ies or other interesting works from female artists made from 1999 to 2006, video-instalation by Ilona Németh (1963) or oil painting by Veronika Rónaiová (1951) can be seen at the exhibition.

The second set of acquisitions is connected with the fact that in the year 2002 Gallery for Youth was restored. This place is used for presentation of young artists who belong to the youngest fine art generation in Slovakia. Thus the reason was to get works of art made by young artists that has not been presented in the collection before but are famous because of various awards in Slovakia and abroad. Space objects by Marko Blažo (1972), video by Mira Gáberová (1979), paintings by Dorota Sadovská (1973) and Michal Czinege (1980), light object by Martin Sedlák (1978) are shown at the exhibition.
