Photo Day in the courtyard 2025

All those interested in participating in the Photo on the Net contest are invited to bring a photo or a collection of photos to Samova Street 1 on 5 July 2025, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Participants will install their photos on a prepared net structure. A space of approximately one square meter will be allocated per participant. There are no restrictions on the number or format of the submitted photographs. The displayed photos will be accessible to the public throughout the day, until 4:00 p.m. Each visitor will receive three pins upon entry, which they can attach to the photo or collection they like best. The photo/collection that receives the highest number of pins will be awarded the Visitor’s Prize. In addition, a professional jury will evaluate the entries and select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. The official announcement of the results will take place at 4:00 p.m., with the outcomes also published on the event’s social media platforms.

Photo Submission Guidelines – Photo Day at the Courtyard 2025

Participants may also submit their photographs by post, no later than 2 July 2025, to the following address of Nitra Gallery. Please clearly label the envelope with: “Photo Day at the Courtyard 2025”, and include your **full name and contact details. Photographs will be installed by the organizer based on available exhibition space. However, participants attending the event in person will have the opportunity to choose the placement of their own photographs. As part of the Photo Challenge, an expert jury will select ten photographers or photography enthusiasts to have their work professionally printed in A4 format. These selected photographs will be displayed during the Photo on the Net event and will remain the property of the photographers afterward. To participate in the Photo Challenge, please submit your photographs by 20 June 2025 via any file-sharing service, including your name and mobile contact, to the following email address:  kultura@nitrianskagaleria.sk

There is no specific theme required for photo submissions—creativity is encouraged.

To take part in the Photo Marathon, prior registration is required. Registration will be held on 5 July 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Samova Street No. 1. Each registered photo marathoner will receive a set of ten thematic prompts, which will be revealed precisely at 11:00 a.m. Participants must then capture one photo for each theme, following the exact sequence of themes, within the time frame of 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Upon completion, participants will submit their photo series for evaluation by a professional jury. The announcement of the winners will take place at 4:00 p.m. on the same day, and the results will also be published on the event’s social media platforms.

Registration for the Photo Map competition will take place on 5 July 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Samova Street No. 1. Upon registration, each “photomapper” will receive a list of seven designated locations within the city of Nitra. Participants are required to take one photograph at each location between the time of registration and 3:00 p.m. on the same day.

Once all seven photos have been captured, participants will return to submit their collection for evaluation. All completed submissions will be entered into a prize draw for a special reward.

The winners will receive material prizes, including books, photographic gifts, and floral arrangements.
