is a phenomenon in the Slovak (and Czech) theatre and literary environment. His non-violently appealing and sarcastically kind comix entitled Rudo has become a hit among readers, with an immediate and unusually long-lasting effect.

Daniel Pastirčák

works as a priest, poet, novelist, essayist and artist. “In my books, books of those come to life, who left a mark in me. I can say more about the way the literary world has situated itself in me than about the way I have situated myself in it. Although, from a certain perspective, it is the same thing.”

In addition to projects and activities of an artistic character, the Nitra Gallery opens its spaces to other, non-artistic mediums. One such project is a series of discussions with contemporary Slovak writers, which the Nitra Gallery launched in 2006. All the discussions in the previous years were presented by popular moderator Dado Nagy.
